HaRav Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook was the only son of Israel’s first Chief Rabbi, HaRav Avraham Yitzhak HaKohen Kook and the person closest to Rabbi Kook’s teachings. As Rosh Yeshiva of the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Yerushalayim, he educated a new generation of Israelis to see the Divine Hand in the rebuilding of the Jewish Nation in Israel. Dedicated to his father’s vision of Torat Eretz Yisrael, HaRav Tzvi Yehuda worked throughout his life to edit and publish his father’s prolific writings. He was the spiritual father of the settlement movement in Judea and Samaria, and his students established yeshivot and ulpanot in communities all over the country
