From Civilians to Soldiers: Israel’s Wave of Voluntary Defenders:
Following a severe attack on the first day of the war, an unprecedented number of people have voluntarily enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), with a significant number of individuals who were not summoned donning their uniforms and joining the ranks. There has been a remarkable boost in morale and spirit within the army, unlike anything observed before. Even those who haven’t participated in reserve duty for over ten years are reporting for service. Commanders and generals have reported an extraordinary response rate, with not only all of the called-up soldiers arriving but also many who were not officially summoned. This reflects a powerful sense of life, strength, and unity within the Jewish community, with individuals showing eagerness and a positive attitude towards defending their nation, confident in their potential for victory.
